Why a blog?

Blogging is not something I expected to be doing, but with lots of material to share and no USPG Ireland website yet, this seems to be the way to go. USPG Ireland is an autonomous organisation, but remains part of the USPG family which works in direct partnership with Anglican Churches, helping to suport vital church work, including healthcare, education, leadership training and action for social justice. We are helping to enable Anglican Churches to reach out to poor and marginalised communities in practical and life-changing ways. In practice, this means we are helping local churches to run schools and hospitals, build houses and dig wells, and provide agricultural training for subsistence farmers. We also support church outreach, theological training and youth work programmes.
I hope this blog will give you a flavour of USPG Ireland, and the work we do.
